I’m Shey, an operations consultant working with businesses that have outgrown how their day-to-day operations function. I help business owners address the operational layer between what customers experience and what’s happening internally — where systems, workflows, and decisions either support the business or quietly slow it down.

With a background as a Senior Business Systems Analyst, my approach is practical and grounded. I step into complexity, identify where operations are breaking down, and put structure in place so your business is easier to run, easier to adapt, and less dependent on constant oversight.

Why ‘The Middle Layer’?

Think of a business like a cake.

The icing is what customers see — branding, marketing, presence. It’s what people react to first.

Below that are the working layers — the systems that handle delivery, admin, communication, and finance.

What holds those together is the middle layer: the operational structure that connects what customers experience with how the business actually runs.

When that layer is missing or poorly defined, small issues turn into constant workarounds. It doesn’t matter how good things look on the outside — the experience doesn’t hold.

That middle layer is where operational problems live.
It’s also where I work.
